Galaxy Watch Band Sizes
For years, Galaxy Watch bands were simple: 20mm quick-release bands fitted almost every model. The Ultra and the Watch8 changed that. Here's what fits each one.
Galaxy Watch band size chart
| Model | Case | Band |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Watch 6 (44mm) | 44mm | 20mm quick release |
| Galaxy Watch (46mm, Gen 1) | 46mm | 22mm quick release |
| Galaxy Watch 4 | 44mm | 20mm quick release |
| Galaxy Watch 5 / 5 Pro | 44mm | 20mm quick release |
| Galaxy Watch 7 | 44mm | 20mm quick release |
| Galaxy Watch Ultra | 47mm | Ultra bands |
| Galaxy Watch 8 / 8 Classic | 44mm | Watch8 bands |
Galaxy Watch4 to Watch7: 20mm
Every size of the Watch4, Watch5 (including the 45mm Pro), Watch6 and Watch7 takes 20mm quick-release bands, including the Classic models. Samsung's own 20mm bands list all four generations, and any good 20mm strap with quick-release bars fits, so NATO, leather and rubber straps are all options.
Galaxy Watch8 and 8 Classic: a new fitting
The Watch8 introduced a new lug system. The bands are still about 20mm wide, but at launch reviewers found older pin-style 20mm Galaxy bands won't attach. Buy bands that name the Watch8 (or later) in their compatibility list, not just “20mm”.
Galaxy Watch Ultra: Ultra bands only
Samsung says the Ultra is only compatible with bands made for the Ultra line, and that standard 20mm bands won't fit. It uses a one-click button on the watch body instead of spring bars.
Older Galaxy Watches
Some earlier, larger models used 22mm bands, such as the Samsung Galaxy Watch (46mm, Gen 1). Check your model's page before buying.
S/M or M/L?
Samsung sells most bands in two lengths. Per Samsung, S/M fits wrists of roughly 130–190mm and M/L fits 145–205mm. If you're in the overlap, S/M leaves less tail on a smaller wrist; M/L gives more room for a looser fit.
